Fall Trip 2015-Putty, Terry & Elvis!-Memphis Connection

Next, we traveled through Tupelo, MS. to arrive at our friends, Putty & Terry's new home in Lakeland ( a suburb of Memphis TN.) They had just moved from Omaha, Nebraska a month earlier and we were so happy to enjoy 3 fun-filled packed nights with them. We visited the Bass Pro Shops to ride the 28 story elevator to magnificent views of Memphis. Then on to Beale Street for a rib lunch at PIG. We finished the day at the Peabody Hotel sipping wine as we waited for the 83 year old Duck Walk tradition. This was a fun way to relax as we watched all the hype surrounding this tradition of the ducks taking their daily trek from the lobby of the hotel to the roof top where it begins all over again in the morning.-a must see in Memphis! The next day was our trip to Graceland. None of us had ever been there and we were pleasantly surprised at how much we all enjoyed our time spent there. He was quite a man coming from such humble beginnings in Tupelo. We had a great time and will look forward to our next visit to explore more of what Memphis has to offer.
